Defaulting Pricing Method using a Fixed Price Reference Activity

If a reference activity, for which the Pricing Method is set to Fixed Activity Price and the Ignore Coverage check box is selected, is defined on a:

• Service order activity line:
  • The Pricing Method of the related activity line is defaulted to Fixed Activity Price.
  • The Price Origin of the activity line is set to Reference Activity.
  • The coverage contract or warranty (if existing) is overruled.
• Maintenance sales order part maintenance line:
  • A maintenance sales order activity line is generated with the Pricing Method set to Fixed Activity Price. The Price Origin of the line is set to Reference Activity.
  • A coverage line is generated with the Price Origin set to Reference Activity.
  • The coverage contract or warranty (if existing) is overruled.
• Quote line:
  • The Pricing Method of the related quote line is defaulted to Fixed Activity Price.
  • The Price Origin of the quote line is set to Reference Activity.
  • The coverage contract or warranty (if existing) is overruled.

If the Use Fixed Price check box is selected and the Ignore Coverage check box is cleared for a reference activity, and contract or warranty coverage is applicable:

• The Pricing Method is defaulted to Time and Material for:
  • The service order activity line. The Price Origin is also set to Not Applicable.
  • The part maintenance line, as there can be multiple reference activities defined for the part maintenance line with different pricing methods.
  • The aintenance sales order activity line.
  • The quote line
• The Fixed Activity Price Ignored check box is selected for the service order activity line, Maintenance sales order activity line and the quote line.
