To use a map

A map is a view that helps you to browse effortlessly through sessions related to your project. It gives you overview, and detail at the same time on where you are and what steps you need to take to administrate the project. You can start a map from the menu browser or from a session. A map displays a Project project in a structure of elements, activities, or extensions. LN will display either a session or a map according to what you entered in one of the following sessions:

  • The Map/Session Options by User (tppdm0102m000) session. Use this session to set the options for each module.
  • The User Profile (tppdm0101s000) session. Use this session to set the defaults for Project.

If you did not enter any options or defaults in these two sessions and you double click a session in the menu browser, LN will by default start a session.

However, if you entered options in the User Profile (tppdm0101s000) session, you can see one of the following options:

  • Open a map in the menu browser.
  • Open a session in the menu browser, and then open the corresponding map.
  • Open a session and a map in the menu browser.

From each option, you can switch to one of the other options. What type of structure you see depends on the entered values in the Map/Session Options by User (tppdm0102m000) session. If you click the map open, you can, for example, see the:

  • Project.
  • Element structure.
  • Activity structure.
  • Extension list and so on.
