Generate Budget from Reference Activity (tpptc2250m000)

Use this session to generate budget from reference activities.

Note:

You cannot modify the budget details if the Budget Status is set to Final. The Budget Status of the element or activity must be set to Free or Actual.
If service related budget lines are already created for the project activity and linked to a reference activity, you cannot include the activity again. This ensures that data is not updated for the budget lines that are already created. To include the activity again so that you can update the budget lines data, you must select the Delete Service related Activity Budget Lines check box.
LN considers the Use Matching Task Codes check box setting in the Project Budget Parameters (tpptc0100s000) session to generate the budget from the reference activities. The possible scenarios:
- Scenario 1:
  The Use Matching Task Codes check box is cleared, a project specific or a standard mapping of tasks does not exist. An error report is generated.
- Scenario 2:
  The Use Matching Task Codes check box is selected, a project specific or a standard mapping of tasks exists. A budget line is generated based on the mapping.
- Scenario 3:
  The Use Matching Task Codes check box is selected, a project specific or a standard mapping of tasks does not exist, but an identical task code exists in Service (reference activity) and Project. A budget line is generated based on the task code.
- Scenario 4:
  The Use Matching Task Codes check box is selected, a project specific or a standard mapping of tasks does not exist, an identical task code does not exist in Service (reference activity) and Project. An error report is generated.

Field Information

Project: The From and To fields define a range of: projects.
Element: The From and To fields define a range of: elements.
Activity: The From and To fields define a range of: activities.
Delete Service related Activity Budget Lines: If this check box is selected, LN LN deletes the existing service related budget lines and creates new budget lines based on the resource requirements, as specified in the reference activity.
Generate Service related Activity Budget Lines: If this check box is selected, LN includes the budget lines linked to service orders.
Process Report: If this check box is selected, LN prints the process report for the budget lines created.
Error Report: If this check box is selected, LN generates an error report.
