Archive/Delete Projects (tppdm7820m000)

Use this session to delete or archive project data. Use the options to specify the type of archive data. You can also select the type or ranges of data that must be deleted, operation that you must perform, and the range of data that you must include.

Deleting outdated project data helps limit data growth and improves system performance. See: Delete and archive Project order data.

Delete or Archive
Run Type

Indicates if the data must be archived, deleted, or both.

Allowed values

Delete Only

Deletes the selected data.

Archive Only

The selected data up to a specified date is saved by copying the data to an archiving company.

Archive and Delete

The selected data is copied to an archiving company and deleted.

Settings
Original Company

The code of the current company from which the original data must be archived.

Company Name

The name of the company to which the data is archived.

Archive-to Company

The archive company to which the company data is archived.

Company Name

The name of the company.

Selection Range
Up To Date
The date and time up to which the project data is considered to be archived or deleted.
Note: This value is defaulted from the Last Modified on field in the Project (tppdm6600m400) session. You can also modify the value.
Project

The From and To fields define a range of: projects for which data must be archived or deleted.

Options
Common Master Data

If this check box is selected, the common master data is included when archiving the company data.

Project Master Data

If this check box is selected, the project master data is included when archiving the company data.

Archive Text

If this check box is selected, the text associated with the common and project master data is also archived.

Overwrite Text

If this check box is selected, texts that already exist in the archive company are replaced by the latest text.

Archive
Archive All

If this check box is selected, the structure, general project, budget, planning, estimating, budget history, and cost registration data for the selected range of projects is archived.

Note: 
  • If this check box is selected, the corresponding check boxes in the group box are selected and cannot be modified.
  • By default, this check box is cleared.
Structure

If this check box is selected, the project structure (Element, Plan and Activities, Extensions) data is included when archiving the company data.

Note: By default, this check box is selected and disabled.
General Project Data

If this check box is selected, the general project data is included when archiving the company data.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Archive All check box is cleared.
Budget

If this check box is selected, the budget data is included when archiving the company data.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Archive All check box is cleared.
Estimating

If this check box is selected, the estimate data is included when archiving the company data.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Archive All check box is cleared.
Budget History

If this check box is selected, the budget history data is included when archiving the company data.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Archive All check box is cleared.
Planning

If this check box is selected, the planning data is included when archiving the company data.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Archive All check box is cleared.
Cost Registration

If this check box is selected, the cost registration details are archived from Project Progress .

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Archive All check box is cleared.
Delete
Delete All

If this check box is selected, all the general project, budget, planning, estimating, budget history, and cost registration data for the selected range of projects is deleted.

Note: 
  • If this check box is selected, the corresponding fields in the group box are selected and disabled.
  • By default, this check box is cleared.
General Project Data

If this check box is selected, the general project data is deleted.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Delete All check box is cleared.
Budget

If this check box is selected, the project budget data is deleted.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Delete All check box is cleared.
Budget History

If this check box is selected, the budget history data is deleted.

Note: This check box is enabled only if the Delete All check box is cleared.
Estimating

If this check box is selected, the project estimate data is deleted.

Planning

If this check box is selected, the planning data is deleted.

Cost Registration

If this check box is selected, the cost registration data is deleted.

Print Options
Process Report

If this check box is selected, the process report is printed when the procedure is completed successfully.

Error Report

If this check box is selected, an error report is displayed when the process is not completed successfully.

Print Statistics

If this check box is selected, statistics of the specified range of data are printed.
