Generate Structural Elements (tpest1220m000)

Use this session to create the elements for the selected estimate version and estimate-version structure code based on the selection range. You can also simulate the process. You cannot generate part of the structural elements that are linked to the selected estimate-version structure node.

Note: If you selected a plan for the activity structure, the activities linked to that plan is generated for the structural element structure with the Activity type.

Project

The From and To fields define a range of: the project.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Status

The project status.

Version

The From and To fields define a range of: estimate versions.

Note: This field is disabled if the Update Free Versions and/or the Update Actual Versions check box are selected.

The From and To fields define a range of: the Structure ID.

The From and To fields define a range of: the cost component.

Budget Top Element

Because you can define an element structure in the Budgeting with multiple tops, you can use this field to select one of the top elements, and the element’s related structure, for the estimate version. If the top structural element is specified, the structure below this structural element is copied, otherwise, the structure is skipped. If the structural elements by version were created or updated previously, the top structural element of the latest update is used as the default. Otherwise, the top structural element defined on the project is used. If the process is run for a structure with the Element structure type, this field is enabled.

Options

Update Free Versions: If this check box is selected, the estimate version with the status set to Free in the Estimate Version session is considered when the element is generated.
Update Actual Versions: If this check box is selected, the estimate version with the status set to Actual in the Estimate Version session is considered when the element is generated.
Only Used Structures: If this check box is selected, only the structures linked to the version in the Used Structures group box of the Estimate Structure session are generated. If this check box is cleared, all defined structures in the Estimate Version session are generated.
Print Report: If this check box is selected, LN prints a report.

Update Mode

Select the update mode.

Allowed values

Update: Infor LN updates the data.
Simulate: Infor LN runs the process in the simulation mode. The results are not saved in the database. This process enables you to preview the results.
