Structural Elements (tpest1120m000)

Use this session to display the structural element and to maintain their estimate settings. On the Specific menu, you can choose the project-related structure type or a user-defined structure to generate new structural elements and/or maintain data. This session also allows you to view the physical breakdown structure of the selected structural elements in a tree view. See Tree Detail session.

Note: If the structure is linked to an estimate version, you can change the structural element details.

Field Information

Project

The code that identifies the project.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Project

The project status.

Version

The code that identifies the estimate version.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Version Status

The status of the estimate version.

Note: If the status is Blocked it implies that the estimate project is copied to a project. You can maintain the estimate in the new project.
Structure ID

The code of the estimate-version structure.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Structure Type

For an estimate version, you can define eight structures: one primary and seven additional structures. The primary structure used to define the estimate. One of the additional estimate-version structures can be used to sort estimate lines. The grouping of structural elements creates an extra view. Each estimate version can only have one of each of the project-related structure types.

Structural Element

The structural element.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Parent Element

The parent/child relation.

Leading Estimate Type

The leading estimate type. Because you can have lines of both types related to the same primary structural element, this setting indicates which lines are used for estimate calculations.

Level for Launch

Because you can have estimate lines of several level types for the same primary structural element, this parameter determines which estimate lines are launched to a project budget. For example, if the level type is Total, all the estimate lines with the Total level type are launched to the budget.

Cost Level

The level type determines which lines are aggregated in the Estimate Lines (tpest2100m000) session for the Bottom Up estimate type.

Sales Level

The level type determines which lines are aggregated in the Estimate Lines (tpest2100m000) session for the bottom-up estimate type and the sales totals.
