Calculating Estimated End Item Unit Costs

If you want to know the estimated end item unit costs before the costs are calculated automatically (depending on the value of the Moment Freezing Estimates field), you can use this session to calculate the estimated end item unit costs. The end item unit costs are the planned costs of one end item for a specific production order. LN calculates the end item unit costs by means of the estimates for hours and materials (item surcharges included). The estimates are displayed in the following sessions:

  • Estimated vs. Actual Material Costs (ticst0501m000)
  • Estimated vs. Actual Hours Costs (ticst0502m000)

The end item unit costs are calculated by cost component as defined in the item's effective (current) cost component structure.

If the Estimated Costs Frozen check box in the Production Orders (tisfc0501m000) details session is selected, you cannot change the estimates anymore.
