Print Cost Calculation (ticpr2410m000)

Use this session to calculate and print standard cost and valuation price for an item on the given date. The bill of material (BOM) and routings of that specific date is used to calculate and print the standard cost.

Note: This session never updates the standard cost tables.

The calculations relate to the item level specified in the Item field. The printed calculation is identical to the calculation that is carried out if you run the Calculate Standard Cost (ticpr2210m000) session and the Standard Cost Calculation Method field is Single Level. The component cost prices are taken from the database.

If you want to print calculations for all levels of an item's product structure, you must use the Print Multilevel Cost Calculation (ticpr2420m000) session.

Calculation Date

The date for which you want to print standard cost calculation data.

The standard cost calculation date is important to simulate standard cost and valuation price calculations on a date other than the current date. It can lie in the future or in the past. On the basis of this date, LN automatically simulates the structure of the product and the routing as they exist on the given cost calculation date. By default, LN shows the current date.

Note:
  • If cost calculations for a PCS project item are printed, the project reference date is used as the standard cost calculation date. The PCS project reference date specifies when the bill of material is exploded, and consequently which components are valid at the moment of calculation.
  • If a new standard cost calculation was carried out, the newest standard cost is printed on the report.
  • If no reference dat was entered, this field is defaulted to the current date. The field remains manually editable.
Predefined Order Quantity Main Item

If this check box is selected, the economic order quantity of the main item is used to calculate the quantities of the sub items. The economic order quantity is entered in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session.

If this check box is cleared, you must enter a value in the Use Order Quantity field. This value is used to calculated the quantities of the sub items.

Use Order Quantity

The order quantity of the main item on which the standard cost calculation is based. You can only enter a value if the Predefined Order Quantity Main Item check box is not selected.

The default value of this field is the economic order quantity of the main item as defined in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) details session.

Analyze Product Structure

If this check box is selected, LN analyzes the whole product structure of the selected item. You cannot use this check box to calculate standard cost or valuation prices for the standard cost calculation code.

Note:
  • LN saves the analyzed price of the product structure.
  • You cannot use this option if the calculation code equals the standard calculation code in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session.

If this check box is cleared, LN only calculates the standard cost and valuation price of the item at the highest level. In doing so, it assumes that the cost or valuation prices of the components in the bill of material are already up-to-date.

Predefined Order Quantity Sub Items

This check box only applies to standard cost and valuation prices that are calculated with price calculation codes other than the standard cost calculation code in the Standard Cost Calculation Parameters (ticpr0100m000) session.

You can only select this check box if you selected the Analyze Product Structure check box.

If this check box is selected, the cost/valuation prices of the sub items are based on the economic order quantity of the sub items. LN computes the cost/valuation price of the main item using the sub items' cost/valuation prices.

Example

    Amount Ec.Order.Qty
Main Item Bicycle 1x 5
Sub-item Wheel 2x 15
Sub-item ... ... ...

Standard cost of Wheel based on 15 items is: 100

Standard Cost of Main Item:

  • 2x Wheel at 100 = 200
  • ...

Order quantity of Wheel is 5 x 2 = 10

Standard cost of Wheel is based on 10 items: 105

Standard cost of Main Item:

  • 2x Wheel at 105 = 210
  • ...
Details by Cost Component

If this check box is selected, the details of the standard cost and valuation price calculation are printed by cost component.

Include Fixed Costs

If this check box is selected, costs such as operation rates or surcharges that you defined as fixed costs are printed.
