Assembly Order - Line Segments Planning (tiasc2110m100)

Use this session to maintain the First Allowed Start Date of an assembly order and view the assembly order planning details at the line segment level such as Planned Start Time, Planned End Time and the status of the assembly order on the line segment.

The date is specified to delay the assembly order on an assembly line; which means that you cannot start or sequence the segment line on the first line station order before the specified First Allowed Start Date.

You can re-sequence all the relevant assembly lines in the Simulate and Create Line Sequences (tiasl4200m000) session.

You can start the session from the following sessions:

  • Assembly Line - Line Mix (tiasc2501m000)
  • Assembly Orders (tiasc2502m000)
  • Line Segment - Line Sequence (tiasl4500m000)

Field Information

Assembly Order
The code of the assembly order for the production of the generic item.
Assembly Order Status

The status of the assembly order.

This field can have the following values:

  • Created
  • Sequenced
  • In Progress
  • Completed
  • Closed
  • Production Completed
Note: The assembly orders with the status Created, Sequenced or In Progress can only be delayed. For the assembly order with the status In Progress, the line segments on the line station orders must have the status Frozen or Planned.
Line Segment

The line segment of the first line station order.

Segment Type

The type of line segment.

The following are the segment types:

  • S: Start - the first segment in the assembly line.
  • E: End - the last segment of the supplying line.
Sequenced

If this check box is selected, the line segment of the line station order is sequenced on the line segment.

Fixed

If this check box is selected, the status of the assembly order is sequenced and fixed for the line segment.

Assembly Line

assembly line

Description

The description or name of the assembly line.

Status

The status of the line station order.

This field can have the following values

  • Planned
  • Ready to Start
  • Completed
Note: The line segment with the status Planned can only be sequenced.
Planned Start Time

The planned start date and time of the line station order of the segment. If the assembly order is sequenced, the start date of the line sequence is displayed.

Planned End Time

The planned end date and time of the first line station order of the segment.

Next Segment

The next line segment number of the assembly order.

Sequencing Required

If this check box is selected, assembly line of the current line segment with the Calculated First Allowed Start Date must be sequenced.

The sequencing is required, when the Planned Start Time of the first line station order is earlier than the Calculated First Allowed Start Date on same segment.

The order with the Planned Start Time will be delayed, or moved to the end of the segment and sequenced after the line station order with the Calculated First Allowed Start Date.

First Allowed Start Date

The start date of the assembly order on which the segment can be started.

You can specify the date, if required. If the date is already populated then you can specify only the later date which is greater than the date displayed. Hence, it is not possible to reduce the delay of the order.

When the date is cleared, then the Calculated First Allowed Start Date for the assembly order is also cleared. The Calculated First Allowed Start Date is recalculated when you specify the date for one or more segments.

If a date is specified outside the working hours limits defined in the calendar of the assembly line, then the date will be changed to the first working hour of the next working date.

Calculated First Allowed Start Date

The date calculated using the First Allowed Start Date. The date is calculated to delay the start of the line station order.

To handle the delay on the other segments the Calculated First Allowed Start Date must be calculated. The calculation is made as follows:

  • When the First Allowed Start Date is specified for the line segment, the same date is populated in the Calculated First Allowed Start Date only when the First Allowed Start Date is earlier than the calculated date.
  • When the First Allowed Start Date is cleared, the Calculated First Allowed Start Date is also cleared and recalculated when the First Allowed Start Date is specified.
  • If the assembly line supplies another assembly line, then from that line station the previous stations in the segment are backdated to calculate the Calculated First Allowed Start Date on the parent segment.
  • If the assembly order cannot be delayed on the line segment, the previous line segment must be backdated, if required. If a next segment is equal to or later than the Calculated First Allowed Start Date, then the value is not determined.
