Rebuild Parent Dimension History (tfgld3202m000)

Use this session to rebuild the history (of dimensions) for a sublevel higher than zero on the basis of the history at sublevel zero. The amounts and quantities of these dimensions are recalculated based on the dimensions with sublevel zero.

Reasons to use this session

  • Structure of the general ledger is modified.
  • Sublevel amounts are incorrect, for example, due to a system failure.
Note: Check that no other user enters transactions within Finance while the rebuilding process is on, since some transactions may be ignored when building the history files.

Building a history involves incorporating the data of the dimensions of the selected dimension type from sublevel zero into the parent dimensions defined for these dimensions.
