Promotion Group - Promotions (tdpcg0145m000)

Use this session to maintain the promotion groups for line-level promotions or order-level promotions A promotion group consists of items, sold-to business partners, or promotions that share the same set of promotion attribute values.

Promotion groups enable you to link more than one promotion to a promotion matrix.

The attributes for a promotion are maintained in the Matrix Definitions (tdpcg0110m000) session, and the values for the attributes are maintained in the Order Promotion Matrices (tdpcg0130m220) and Line Promotion Matrices (tdpcg0130m210) sessions.

For example, you define order promotion-matrix definition A10 (used to give a percentage discount on the total order) and add the item group and sold-to line of business attributes. The values for the attributes are item group Blue Chairs, and sold-to line of business Furniture Vendors.

Note:
  • You can create more than one promotion group for a group type.
  • In the Promotions (tdpcg0140m000) session, you can define whether a promotion applies to a group of business partners/group of items, or applies to a single business partner, or a single sales item.
