To start the Freight Rate Book (tdpcg0616m000) session, in which you can specify both freight rate headers and lines, double-click a record.

- Rating Method

The method by which freight rates are categorized. Freight rates are based on Distance or on Zone.
In the Search by Distance/Zone field of the Pricing Parameters (tdpcg0100m000) session, you can specify how freight rates must be searched: by Distance, Zone, or both.
- Distance Unit
-
The distance unit used to express the distances defined in the Freight Rate Book. The distance unit must be of the length type.
- Free Distance
-
The distance for which there is no charge in the Freight Rate Book.
Note:If the travelling distance for a shipment line is 10 and the free distance is also 10, the calculated freight costs are zero. This has the following consequences:
- The Planning Log (fmlbd0530m000) session displays that no freight rate book can be found
- In the Freight Costs Inquiry (fmfrc0540m000) session, no Freight Rate Book Code is displayed and the Freight Rate Source is Manual
