Promotion Groups (tdpcg0115m000)

Use this session to maintain promotion groups. A promotion group consists of a set of items, sold-to business partners, or promotions that share the same set of promotion attribute values.

The attributes for a promotion are maintained in the Matrix Definitions (tdpcg0110m000) session and the values for the attributes in the Order Promotion Matrices (tdpcg0130m220) and Line Promotion Matrices (tdpcg0130m210) sessions.

For example, you define the A10 order promotion matrix definition (used to give a percentage discount on the total order) and add the attribute's item group and sold-to line of business. The values for the attributes are the Blue Chairs item group, and the Furniture Vendors sold-to line of business.

Promotion groups enable you to link more than one promotion to a promotion matrix. You can categorize promotion groups by these group types:

  • Sold-to business partner
  • Item
  • Premium
  • Line Promotion
  • Order Promotion
Note:
  • You can create more than one promotion group for a group type.
  • In the Promotions (tdpcg0140m000) session, you can define whether a promotion applies to a group of business partners/group of items or applies to a single business partner or a single sales item.
