Mask Segments (tcibd4503m000)
This session lists mask segments, which you can view, create, and maintain in the Mask Segment (tcibd4103s000) details session.
Field Information
- Mask Code
 -

The mask for which you view, create, or maintain mask segments.
 - Segment Number
 -

The number that indicates the sequence of the mask segments. The sequence numbers do not need to be consecutive.
 - Segment Type
 -

The type of information that the segment contains.
Allowed values
- Option
 -

A product feature only used in an assembly-controlled environment.
 - Infor LN Field
 -

The contents of a specific field in LN. Note that the segment is only generated correctly if the field has a value and belongs to the package in which the identification code is generated.
 - Sequence
 -

The item's sequence number.
 - Translation Table
 -

Select this segment type if you want the identification code to contain a converted value. For example, instead of the year 2006, the letter D is added; instead of 2005, the identification code contains C. You must also define a translation table in the Translation Tables (tcibd4504m000) session. The translation table type determines the type of information that is converted: Option, Infor LN Field, or Date. Define the translations table's values in the Values by Translation Table (tcibd4106m000) session.
 - Date
 -

A year, month number, date, weekday number, hours, or minutes.
 - Alphanumeric
 -

A fixed string of numbers or characters.

 - Segment Length
 -

The segment's number of positions. LN displays a default segment length, but for some segment types you can change the default length.
 - Segment Value
 -

The value that belongs to the segment type.
- If the segment type is Alphanumeric, the defined alphanumeric string is displayed.
 - If the segment type is Sequence, the first free sequence number is displayed.
