Creating a new Compare BOM template

  1. Select Form > Open > Compare BOM- Preferences. The Compare BOM-Preferences form is displayed.
  2. Click New. A unique ID is generated for the template.
    Note: You can copy the properties of an existing template/Compare ID. To do so, right-click and select Duplicate.
  3. Select Compared Based on to define properties. Possible values:
    • By Item
    • By Find Number
    • By Item and Find Number
  4. Select the Compare Reference Designator check box, if required, to compare the Reference Designator Information of the items on the Compare BOM - Results form
  5. Specify the name of the property (attribute) to be compared.
  6. Select the check box for the property that must be considered for the comparison.
    Note: You can add properties using the New option
  7. Click Save.
