Document Defaults

Documents are revision-controlled objects that are intrinsic to the functional processes supported by PLM. You can create and update a document. You can also link items, files, and folders as a reference to the document. Each document can be revision controlled using the Check In and Check Out operations.

Note: In PLM documents refer to the files that contain the actual data.

The document default template is used to create default data for the document. You can maintain default data for the PLM document in the Document Defaults (pdadm5154m000) session. Document attributes can be defined using these tabs. Attributes are specifications or features defined for an object (Document).
