Creating a sales order
To create a sales order, execute these steps:
- Access the Sales Order Intake Workbench (tdsls4601m200) session and click New. The Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session is displayed.

Select your sold-to business partner in the Business Partner field of the Sold-to BP section and press
Tab.
Note: Infor LN populates the default data for the selected business partner in the other fields of the sales order header.
- Select the sales order type that allows the production orders to be created (S09) in the Order Type field, sales office in the Sales Office field and the series for the sales order in the Order field.

Select the customer furnished item in the second segment of the Item field on
the Order Lines tab and specify the
quantity in the Ordered Quantity
field.
Note: Verify that the default price of the item is updated in the Price field.

Click the Go to Details button for
the sales order line on the Order Lines
tab. The Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session is
displayed.
- Select the Contains Customer Furnished Material check box in the Item section of the Item tab.
- Select Production in the Delivery Type field in the Item section of the Item tab.
- Click Approve in the Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session to approve the sales order. The sales order Status is updated to Approved.

On the specific menu, click Generate Production Orders
in the header section. The Generate Production Orders
(tdsls4243m000) session is displayed:
- Review the data on the Selection tab.
- Select the series for production order in the Order Series field on the Production Order tab.
- Click Generate.
- Review the Generate Production Order for Sales Order report and make a note of the generated Production Order.
- Click Close.
