File Manager Permissions (ttfma1500m000)
Use this session to specify folder access and permissions for a user or a group of users within File Manager.
Users can only view and access folders for which they have permissions.
After activating, the permissions also impact sessions with a prefilled path. The permissions impact, for example, data in user defaults or a path in sessions that run in the background or in a job. If a user has no modify permission for the prefilled path, the session cannot be executed.
After you specify and save your data, you can click to start the Preview File Manager Permissions (ttfma1510s000)session in which you can specify the users for whom you want to preview the folder permission structure.
Field Information
- Permission For
- Permissions can be specified at various levels.
These permission levels are available:
- User
- AMS Role
- EM Role

- Permission For
- The user or role for which the permission is
specified.
Use * to indicate all users.
- Folder
- The folder to which the permission applies.Note:
- The folder is relative to the LN root folder.
- An empty folder is not allowed.
- Use * to indicate all standard folders under the LN root folder.
- Other folders such as AWS_S3 and AWS_S3_admin must be authorized separately.
- The zoom option shows only the folders for which the current user has permission.
- Include Sub Folders
- If this check box is selected, the permission of
the specified folder is also applied to its sub folders.
If a permission is specified for a sub folder, this permission overrides the derived permissions from a parent folder.
