Logging Parameters (ttaad4153m000)
Use this session to define the parameters for the logging of database locking and shared memory usage.
For shared memory logging, you can define a time frame in which the logging of object usage in the bshell takes place. For database locking, you can specify a threshold and a time frame.
After you specified the logging parameters, click
. You can only run the command on a Master Application Server.For details, refer to the field and form command help.
Actions/Buttons
These options are available:
- Convert
- Stores the specified data in the <BSE>/lib/defaults/logging file. The timeframe is stored in UTC format.
- Cleanup
- Removes all stored shared memory measurement data.

- Enable Locking Log

If this check box is selected, the Log Locking functionality is activated.
- Location Logfile(s)

The log file, path included, where the locking statistics must be stored.
For example:
<BSE_TMP>/lock_logging/log_locking.$$

extension is replaced by a PID number. For example: the logging process generates this file:log_locking.1048612
.Note:The field is replaced by the Location Logfiles(s) field. A read only fixed S3 Location.
Location Logfile(s) The S3 Location where the locking statistics must be stored. Read only and fixed: AWS_S3/tmp/lock_logging.
The additional zoom option starts the FileManager (ttfmafileman) from which the generated logfiles can be downloaded.

From porting set 93i (bshell TIV level 2380) or later this field is shown. Specify a comma separated string of tables or companies.
For example:
- tdsls400: Table tdsls400 for all companies
- tdsls4000100: Table tdsls400 for company 100
- tdsls4000100,0200: Table tdsls400 for company 100 and all tables for company 200
- 0100: All tables for company 100
The wildcard * is supported:
- td*: All tables of package td for all companies
- tdsls*0100: All tables of package td, module sls for company 100.
If no filter is defined all tables of all companies are logged.
