Default Formats by Format Code (ttaad1508m000)

Use this session to find, list or maintain the default formats by formats code. You must use the Default Formats by Format Code (ttaad1108s000) session to add default format codes to a format code.

Field Information

Currency Format Code

The identification code of the currency format.

The identification code of the currency format. This code can be used to specify display formats in:

  • Form fields
  • Domains
  • Report fields
  • Program scripts if the data type is double or float. In that case, this code must be specified as %A<currency format>, for example %A001 %A030.
Note: The numeric codes have been reserved by the software producer. For more about coding of date formats, see the User Manual Software Coding Standards (doc# 5500EN, Tab 2)
Description

The description or name of the code.

Default Display Format

If this field is empty, the display format, as defined for generic units in the Formats by Generic Unit (ttaad1107m000) session, will be valid.

Default value

If the field is filled with a display format, the default display format as defined here is valid.

Maximum Number of Positions

The maximum number of positions that can be used in the format. This number includes thousand signs and decimal signs.

Number of Significant Digits

The number of all significant digits used in the format. This does not include thousand signs and decimal signs.

Minus Sign

The position of the minus sign.

Currency Symbol

If this check box is selected, a symbol can be displayed before or after the amount.

Thousand Sign

If this check box is selected, thousand signs can be used in the format.
