Creating menus
LN users can have their own customized menus. LN menus are created by LN developers or by LN administrators who have developer authorizations. The start menu for a user must be defined in LN user data.
To create an LN menu:
- Start the Menus (ttadv3560m000) session.
- Change your current Package VRC via the Specific pulldown menu, if needed.
- Select a Language and Package and click the button. Since the introduction of Language Translation Support (LTS), the only valid selection is English.
- Select a Module, enter a menu code and a menu description and click the button.
- Select the new menu in the Overview session and start the Menu Fields (ttadv3561m000) session and enter the Menu fields. The following menu field types can be used: Session, Menu, Shell Program and Query. If all menu fields are added, click the button.
- Select the new menu in the Overview session and Compile the menu.
- Link the new menu to another menu if it is a Submenu or link the new menu to one or more LN users if it is a Startmenu.
- Test the new menu in the user interface.
Note:
Shell Programs and Queries are not supported in the current version of Web UI.
Note:
To view your menu modifications in Worktop, you need to refresh the menu in Worktop (Worktop Pulldown menu: View, Refresh, Menu Browser).
To view your menu modifications in Web UI, you need to refresh the page in Web UI (Click the button of your Internet Explorer).
