Set Up and Options (pdcps1104m300)

Use session to specify the setup required to create a new product structure from an existing structure for the folder.

The related objects and the attributes that must be linked/copied to the new folder structure have to be selected. You can copy the new folder structure either to the current project, or to a target project.

You can also modify the preferences and the pre-defined user settings.

You can select the objects and attributes that must be part of the new product structure in these sections:

  • Child Folder
  • Related Document
  • Reference Folder
  • Related Item
  • Global Alternate Companies

You can use the Generate Precopy option to review the new product structure that is generated.

Note: You can access this session using the Set Up option from the Action menu of the Pre-Copy Data (pdcps1501m000) session.

Field Information

PLM Project

The unique code of the PLM project.

Type

The category of the object.

Folder

The code of the folder.

Revision

The revision number of the linked folder.

Child Folder

If this check box is selected, the child folder is included in the new product structure.

Related Doc

If this check box is selected, the related document is included in the new product structure.

Related File

If this check box is selected, the related file linked to the related document is included in the new product structure.

Related Item

If this check box is selected, the related item linked to the related document is included in the new product structure.

Reference Folder

If this check box is selected, the reference folder is included in the new product structure.

Related Item

If this check box is selected, the related item is included in the new product structure.

Note: The Related Document, Global Alternative Items, Linked Manufacturer, Linked Supplier and the Linked SubContractor of the related item are also included in the structure.
Rename Files

If this check box is selected, the renamed files are included in the new product structure.

Filter Neutral Files

If this check box is selected, the neutral files with extensions (such as .sldasm, .bmp, .pdf) are not included in the new product structure.

Include Classification

If this check box is selected, the new product structure is generated based on the classification selected in the Classification Management (pdadm5500m000) session.

File Name Based On File ID

If this check box is selected, the PLM application generates the file name based on the file ID.

Object IDs Based On Item ID

If this check box is selected, the PLM application generates the object IDs based on the item ID.

Match File Name to Dwg Doc ID

If this check box is selected, the name of the Model and Drawing file is generated based on the Document ID to which the Drawing is linked.

Use Naming Convention Rules

If this check box is selected, the naming convention rules are applicable for the new product structure.

Warn When No Link Selected

If this check box is selected, a warning message is displayed when the Action field is set to No Link for CAD documents structure.

Warn When No Link Selected

If this check box is selected, a warning message is displayed when the links of the object with RELEASED status , are modified.

Target Project

The code of the PLM project for which new product structure is generated.

File Name Uniqueness

The option to determine the uniqueness of the file name.
