Set Up and Options (pdcps1104m200)

Use session to specify the setup required to create a new product structure from an existing structure for the document.

The related objects and the attributes that must be linked/copied to the new document structure have to be selected. You can copy the new document structure either to the current project, or to a target project.

You can also modify the preferences and the pre-defined user settings.

You can select the objects and attributes that must be part of the new product structure in these sections:

  • Parent document
  • Related item
  • Child item
  • Parent item

You can use the Generate Precopy option to review the new product structure that is generated.

Note: You can access this session using the Set Up option from the Action menu of the Pre-Copy Data (pdcps1501m000) session.

Field Information

PLM Project

The unique code of the PLM project.

Type

The category of the object.

Document

The code of the document.

Revision

The revision number of the linked document.

Parent Document

If this check box is selected, the parent document is included in the new product structure.

Child Document

If this check box is selected, the child document linked to the parent document is included in the new product structure.

Related File

If this check box is selected, the related file linked to the parent document is included in the new product structure.

Child Document

If this check box is selected, the child document is included in the new product structure.

Reference Document

If this check box is selected, the reference document is included in the new product structure.

Related Folder

If this check box is selected, the related folder is included in the new product structure.

Related File

If this check box is selected, the related file is included in the new product structure.

Related Item

If this check box is selected, the related item is included in the new product structure.

Note: The Global Alternate Companies, Manufacturer, Supplier and SubContractor of the related item are also included in the structure.
Related Folder

If this check box is selected, the related folder linked to the related item is included in the new product structure.

Global Alternative Items

If this check box is selected, the global alternative item linked to the related item is included in the new product structure.

Child Item

If this check box is selected, the child item linked to the related item is included in the new product structure.

Note: The Reference Designator and the Local Alternate item of the child item are also included in the structure.
Parent Item

If this check box is selected, the parent item linked to the related item is included in the new product structure

Note: The BOM Exception, Reference Designator and the Local Alternate item of the parent item are also included in the structure.
Rename Files

If this check box is selected, the renamed files are included in the new product structure.

Filter Neutral Files

If this check box is selected, the neutral files with extensions (such as .sldasm, .bmp, .pdf) are not included in the new product structure.

Include Classification

If this check box is selected, the new product structure is generated based on the classification selected in the Classification Management (pdadm5500m000) session.

File Name Based On File ID

If this check box is selected, the PLM application generates the file name based on the file ID.

Object IDs Based On Item ID

If this check box is selected, the PLM application generates the object IDs based on the item ID.

Match File Name to Dwg Doc ID

If this check box is selected, the name of the Model and Drawing file is generated based on the Document ID to which the Drawing is linked.

Use Naming Convention Rules

If this check box is selected, the naming convention rules are applicable for the new product structure.

Warn When No Link Selected

If this check box is selected, a warning message is displayed when the Action field is set to No Link for CAD documents structure.

Warn When No Link Selected

If this check box is selected, a warning message is displayed when the links of the object with RELEASED status , are modified.

Target Project

The code of the PLM project for which new product structure is generated.

File Name Uniqueness

The option to determine the uniqueness of the file name.

Unique across all projects
Unique per project
Duplicate of filename is allowed
