Copy Ranges (whwmd3200m000)

Use this session to generate a range of locations that have the same characteristics. You can generate a number of new locations within a warehouse based on an existing waehouse.

  1. Enter the warehouse and the location from which you want to copy the location data.
  2. Under Position, define the codes of the new locations by entering the ranges in the position block. Position 1 to 10 define the coding of the location code's 10 positions.
  3. Under Address, define the address data to be copied by entering start and end positions for the row, level, and bin.
  4. Under Options, specify the maximum number of new locations, as well as:
    • If you want copying to be an interactive process.
    • If you want to copy the storage conditions of the root location to the new locations.
  5. Click Copy. LN creates the new locations.

Field Information

Warehouse

The code of the warehouse from which to copy a location.

From Location

The warehouse location from which the location data is copied.

Interactive Process

If this check box is selected, copying the location data to new locations is an interactive process.

While copying the data to new locations, you are asked to decide about the copy process.

If this check box is cleared, LN will use the default copy settings.

Copy Storage Conditions

If this check box is selected, the storage conditions are copied along with other location data.

Maximum Number of New Locations

The maximum number of new locations to be generated.

The number of locations to be generated depends on:

  • The selected range of positions.
  • The maximum number entered in this field.
