Kanban Signals (whwmd2111m000)

Use this session to view and maintain kanban signals by warehouse and item. In this session, you can activate, deactivate, or close kanban signals. You can also delete closed kanban signals. To delete a closed kanban signal, select the signal and click the Delete option from the toolbar.

Kanban signals are created for a warehouse and item combination by selecting the Add Signal option on the appropriate menu or by calculating or manually specifying the required number of signals in the Number of Signals field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session.

The Add Signal option is available if you select Sort by --> Warehouse, Item, Kanban Signal from the Views menu.

The quantity of newly created signals or reactivated signals is updated in the current session and the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session.

Note:
  • Non-reusable kanban signals are used for only one supply order. If this order is processed, the signal is closed and cannot be reactivated.
  • The Order, Order Number, and Order Line fields display the supply order related to a signal only if one order is present for the signal. These fields are blank if more than one supply order is present for the signal.
