Receipt Line Packing Structure (whinh3816m000)
Use this session to add receipts where the received items are set up with package definitions.
When an item is set up with package definitions, the number of different units in which items can be received is determined by the package definition. For example, you can receive 8 pallets containing 10 boxes each and 5 boxes containing 24 pieces each, and so on.
You cannot add or remove lines on this screen. You can only fill in what is received.

- Quantity To be Advised

The quantity of the receipt line that is received and registered in the warehouse, for which you can create an inbound advice.
- Put Away Quantity

The quantity of the receipt line that is put away in the warehouse. This quantity is stored in the warehouse and obtains the In Stock status.
- Quantity Received in Inventory Unit

The inventory unit in which the stock item data is recorded.
- Level

The level in the package definition.
If no package definition is specified for the item inventory structure, the item inventory structure does not have levels. So, the level is zero.
If a package definition is specified for the item inventory structure, the item inventory structure has levels. LN retrieves the levels from the Item - Package Definition - Packaging Levels (whwmd4540m000) session.
Example
"1" is always the lowest level if a package definition is specified and is always the inventory unit of the item. So, if you have pallets that contain boxes and boxes that contain pieces, the values are:
- "1" = piece
- "2" = box
- "3" = pallet
- Receipt Quantity

The number of items received in this unit at this level. Packages that are included at a higher level are not included at this level. For example, if you receive a pallet containing 10 boxes, plus 3 loose boxes, this value is 3, not 13.

The unit of measure at this level in the packaging definition.

The number of lower level units that are contained in one unit of this level: for example, 10 boxes.
