Calculate Economic Order Quantity (Camp) (whina2201m000)

Use this session to calculate the economic order quantity for a range of items by means of Camp's formula:

Q = Sqrt ((2 * D * F)/I)
Qeconomic order quantity
Dexpected annual issue
Forder costs
Iinventory carrying costs per inventory unit

Updates

The Economic Order Quantity field in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session is updated for all items within the selected range:

  • For which the Lot Size Calculation Allowed check box in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session is selected.
  • If the Item Data check box in the current session is selected.

The Economic Order Quantity field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is updated for the items specified in the range if:

  • The Update Inventory/Order Data field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is selected.
  • The item warehouse status is Active (see the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session).
  • The Item Data by Warehouse check box in the current session is selected.
Note: To preview the calculation results in a report before the economic order quantities are actually updated, select Simulate.

Item Data

If this check box is selected, and the Lot Size Calculation Allowed field in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session is selected, the item data is updated in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session.

If this check box is cleared, the newly calculated value is not entered in the relevant field in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session.

Item Data by Warehouse

If this check box is selected, the value is written to the relevant field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session provided that the Update Inventory/Order Data field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is selected and the item warehouse status is Active.

Item Data by Site

If this check box is selected, the value is written to the relevant field in the Warehousing Settings by Site (whwmd2101m000) session provided that the Update Inventory/Order Data field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is selected and the item warehouse status is Active.

If this check box is selected, the economic order quantity is printed.

If this check box is selected, only the changed economic order quantity is printed.

You can only select or clear this check box if the Economic Order Quantity check box is selected.
