Global Update of Inventory Parameters (whina2200m000)

Use this session to update the inventory parameters collectively. You can modify the formula used to calculate an inventory parameter.

The item data in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session is updated if:

  • The Item Data check box in the current session is selected.
  • The Lot Size Calculation Allowed check box in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session is selected.

The item inventory data in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is updated if:

  • The Item Data by Warehouse check box in the current session is selected.
  • The item warehouse status is Active (see the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session).
  • The Update Inventory/Order Data check box in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is selected.
Note: 
  • When you start the session, LN checks whether the formula always gives 0 as a result.
  • To preview the results of the global update in a report before the global update is actually carried out, select Simulate.
  • To create a report of the update of the inventory parameters, on the Formula tab, select the Print Transactions check box.

Field to be Updated

The field to be updated and for which the formula is defined.

Average Number of Workdays per Year

LN calculates the expected order lead time issue on the basis of the number of workdays in a year.

The expected order lead time issue is calculated as follows:

expected annual issue * order lead time / number of workdays
Item Data

If this check box is selected, and the Lot Size Calculation Allowed check box in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session is selected, the item data is updated in the Items - Ordering (tcibd2100m000) session.

Item Data by Warehouse

If this check box is selected, and the Update Inventory/Order Data check box in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is selected, the inventory and order data are updated in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session.

Item Data by Site

If this check box is selected, and the Update Inventory/Order Data check box in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session is selected, the inventory and order data are updated in the Warehousing Settings by Site (whwmd2101m000) session.

Simulate/Update

To preview the results of the global update in a report before the global update is actually carried out, select Simulate.
