Convert Project and Budget Currency (tppdm6210m000)

Use this session to run a currency conversion for project currency, budget currency or both.

The conversion depends on:

The project start date or the budget line date
The exchange rate type of: The revenues { Project Parameters (tppdm0100s000)}; the budget { Projects (tppdm6100m000)}; Costs { Project Parameters (tppdm0100s000)}.

The project currency conversion date depends on:

The project start date
The date the Build Actual Cost Control (tpppc4803m000) session, the Generate Performance Measurement (tpppc5200m000) session or the Generate Budget Cost Analysis (tpptc3200m000) session were run

The project currency conversion takes place in:

The project table
The monitoring tables
The performance-measurement tables
The budget-cost-analysis tables. When the project currency is converted, the data in the monitoring, performance-measurement and budget-cost analysis is not completely accurate. To update this data you must run the Build Actual Cost Control (tpppc4803m000) session, the Generate Performance Measurement (tpppc5200m000) session and the Generate Budget Cost Analysis (tpptc3200m000) session. When these sessions are run, the data collected in the tables mentioned earlier is translated into the new project currency. The budget currency conversion takes place in:
The budget line tables. If you have converted budget lines, you must run the Generate Control Data (tpptc1230m000) session to update your control budget.

Note: The project status can be Free or Active.

Field Information

Old Currency: Enter the old currency of your project or your budget lines.
New Currency: Enter the new currency of the sold-to business partner.
Project: If this check box is selected, you can convert the currency for your project data.
Budget: If this check box is selected, you can convert the currency for your budget line data.
