Costing Breaks - Production Material (tppdm3101m000)

Use this session to create and maintain the costing breaks for the production item linked to the project.

For a project involving production of an item, you can create costing breaks for the material costs. You can create costing breaks for the main item, the BOM components of the main item or the item groups mapped to the specific element or activity of the project.

LN first searches for the costing breaks created for the specific project, then for a blank project. However, if the Job Shop by Site field is set to Active in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session, LN first searches for the specific site and specific project, then for a specific site and a blank project, then for a blank site and the specific project, and last for a blank site and a blank project. The hierarchical sequence that LN follows to search for the costing breaks:

  1. Main item/ (BOM) component item
  2. Item group/ main item
  3. Only the main item
  4. Only the (BOM) component item
  5. Item group
Note: To manually copy the costing breaks to another project, select the Copy to other Project option on the Actions menu. The Copy to Other Project window opens wherein you can specify the target project code.
