Operation status

The operation status provides you with information about the stage of the operation in the production process. For a description of the statuses, see Operation status values.

How to change the operation status

When there is enough Quantity Completed on all the previous operations to report complete the minimum order quantity of the operation, the operation status is set to Ready to Start by the previous operation.

An operation gets the Started operation status if you report a quantity as completed on that operation. Report quantities as completed in the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) session.

An operation gets the Active operation status if you carried out a WIP transaction on the operation, for example:

  • Issue a material.
  • Book hours to the operation.
  • Carry out a WIP transfer.

You can set the operation to one of the following operation statuses in the Report Operations Completed (tisfc0130m000) session:

  • Blocked
  • Completed
  • Closed

How to reset the operation status from Completed to Active

If the Allow correcting Operations in Report Orders / Reset Status check box in the Production Order Parameters (tisfc0500m000) session is selected, you can collectively change the operation status for all operations of a production order from Completed to Active.

You can reset the operation status in two sessions:

  • If a production order has not yet reached status Production Completed or Completed, and all of its operations have status Completed, to reset the operation statuses to Active, complete the following steps:

    1. Start the Report Orders Completed (tisfc0120s000) session.
    2. On the appropriate menu, click Uncomplete All Operations.
  • If production orders have the Production Completed, Completed, or Closed status, to reset operation status together with the production order status, use the Reset Production Order Status (ticst0203m000) session.
