Print BOM Comparison Report (tibom1416m000)

Use this session to print the differences between the BOMs of two items. Effectivity units and validity dates can also be taken into account. The comparison is made between single-level BOMs. The report contains the BOM lines of the two items that are different, sorted by the BOM lines' position and sequence number.

  • If the Compare Material-Routing Relations check box is selected, only the BOM lines are compared for which material-routing relationships exist.
  • If the Check Validity Components check boxes are selected, only the BOM lines that are effective for the date in the Date fields are compared. If more than two sequence numbers for a BOM line are effective, only the first one is displayed.
Note: If the items are the same, and the effectivity units of both items are also the same, then the Check Validity Components check box for at least one item must be selected to make a comparison. If the Check Validity Components check box is selected for both items, and the effectivity units are also the same, the validity date must differ for the items to be able to make an comparison.
