Item Forecasting Defaults (tiapl5102m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the default data for item forecasting. Forecast is used to determine requirements of critical components.
Note: The session can be accessed only if the Forecasting check box is selected in the Assembly Planning Parameters (tiapl0100s000) session.

Field Information

Item Group

A group of items with similar characteristics. Each item belongs to a particular item group. The item group is used in combination with the item type to set up item defaults.

Item Type

The item type.

Cluster

The planning cluster.

Planner

The employee responsible for planning.

Forecast

If this check box is selected, the item can be used for forecasting.

Forecast Time Fence

The time fence used for forecasting. The time fence is expressed in weeks.

Days

The time line applicable for forecast. The date is calculated based on the value specified in the Forecast Time Fence field.

Order Horizon

The order horizon. The number of weeks can be specified in the horizon.

Days

The time line applicable for order horizon. The date is calculated based on the value specified in the Order Horizon field.

Forecast Horizon

The forecast horizon. The number of weeks can be specified in the horizon.

Days

The time line applicable for forecast horizon. The date is calculated based on the value specified in the Forecast Horizon field.

Backward Forecast Consumption

The number of days in which the forecast is consumed backwards in time.

Forward Forecast Consumption

The number of days in which the forecast is consumed ahead of time.

Forecast Input

The level in the forecast structure where the forecast quantities can be specified and maintained. By default, the level is set to Product.
