Viewing Line Station - Assembly Part Supply Transfer (Batch)

Prerequisites

Shop floor warehouses are replenished by means of supply messages, which must be generated and transferred. Therefore, you must at least have generated the supply messages, in the Replenish Shop Floor Warehouse (tiasc8210m000) session. Additionally, you can transfer the messages by means of the Transfer Assembly Part Supply Messages (tiasc8220m000) session, which can be started from the appropriate menu of the current session. When the messages are not yet transferred, the replenishment process is only prepared, but not running.

Functionality

The current session displays the data that pertains to the replenishment of shop floor warehouses, for parts that are ordered with the Batch supply system. The whole process of replenishment and consumption is registered, so that the data displayed reflect the actual situation. The fields display the parts, required quantities, received quantities, status of the supply messages, and so on. Through the Specific menu you can transfer supply messages that were created, but no yet transferred to the supplier or warehouse, and you can update the balance quantity, that is, the quantity of the batch that is not yet consumed.

If you use the batch supply system, the assembly parts are supplied as batches of parts, not as an assembly kit. A batch of parts is ordered anonymously for a range of assembly orders. Every time the Replenish Shop Floor Warehouse (tiasc8210m000) session is run, LN checks which order-controlled batch items must be ordered. When a batch has been completely consumed, a new batch will be ordered. The current session captures the progress of this flow.

Parameters

Several parameters determine the functionality of this session.

  • The batch quantity required is rounded up to the nearest multiple of the value of the Order Quantity Increment field in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) details session.
  • The quantity required is calculated using the Quantity to Allocate parameter in the Assembly Control Parameters (tiasc0100m000) session.
  • The method of transfer depends on your selection in the Supply System field of the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2510m000) details session:

    • Warehouse LN generates warehouse transfers from the source warehouse to the shop-floor warehouse. All the parts for one shop-floor warehouse are combined on one warehouse transfer order. Use this option for internal supply.
    • Supplier The Purchase Control module uses this data to generate a purchase schedule call-off to control supply from the supplier to the shop-floor warehouse. Assembly parts from the same supplier are combined on the same purchase schedule. You define the supplier, trigger and so on in the Item Data by Warehouse (whwmd2110s000) session. Use this option for external supply.
