Cross Validation Rule Elements (tfgld0152m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the rule elements of a cross validation rule.

Note: 
  • When you define a rule, by default all possible GL account and dimension combinations are included.
  • Cross validation rules do no impact existing GL account and dimension combinations.

Version

The validation rule version. LN generates the version numbers.

Line

The line number of the rule element.

Rule Type

For each rule element, select either of the following:

  • Exclude

    All combinations are allowed (default), except for the range of combinations specified.

  • Include

    No combinations are allowed, except for the range of combinations specified.
Note: Rule elements of type Exclude always relate to rule elements of type Include. Therefore, it is pointless to define an Exclude element outside the range of an Include element. In short, Exclude elements always override Include elements.
From Ledger Account

The first ledger account code in the range of ledger accounts.

To Ledger Account

The last ledger account code in the range of ledger accounts.

Parent Ledger Account

Instead of a range of ledger accounts, you can specify a parent ledger account. Consequently, the rule element will apply to all its children and grandchildren.
