Define Location Format (tffam5210m000)

Use this session to specifies the order in which the location segments appear. It is the common format shared by all locations in LN. It contains the location segments that represent different categories of location information for an asset. For example, if your organization has many divisions at different locations, you may want to set up segment for division, project, location, floor, and city, in that order.

The location format indicates the order and type of location data that must be entered for each asset. You can change the order of segments in the location format or add new segments. However, once you add a segment to a location format, it cannot be deleted because it becomes part of the account. The location format can contain up to 8 segments. LN will automatically update the location in assets already entered in assets already entered in the Fixed Assets module.

Note: No one must use the Fixed Assets module while you are modifying the format.
