Implementing the nominal value and the tolerance functionality

To implement the nominal value and the tolerance functionality:

  1. Create an inspection order for a related order of any origin, containing a standard test procedure with nominal value and tolerance limits specified.
  2. In the Inspection Order (qmptc1100m100) session, on the lines tab, select the inspection order line to view the inspection line details in the Inspection Order Lines (qmptc1101m000) session.
  3. In the Inspection Order Lines (qmptc1101m000) session:
    • Click the limits tab.
    • Review the test data (the chart name, chart type, tolerance limit, the nominal value and the upper and lower tolerance limits) that LN defaults from the specified in the Standard Test Procedure Characteristics (qmptc0115m000) session.
  4. In the Inspection Order (qmptc1100m100) session, In the test data tab, specify a measurement value that lies between the upper and lower tolerance limits.
  5. LN sets the result of the inspection in the Inspection Order (qmptc1100m100) session to Pass.
    Note:  If a value above or below the range is specified, the test result is set to Fail.
  6. Compete and process the inspection order and the order inspection.
  7. Review the result data and the impact of the inspection process in the related origin order sessions.
