Creating a normal sales order

To create a normal sales order:

  1. Access the Sales Order Intake Workbench (tdsls4601m200) session and click New. The Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session is displayed.
  2. Select the business partner in the Business Partner field and press Tab.
    Note: Infor LN populates the data related to the selected business partner.
  3. Select S08 Sales Order Automatic in the Order Type field.
  4. Select a purchased item in the Item field on the Order Lines tab and review the default quantity and price in the Ordered Quantity and the Price fields respectively.
  5. Click Approve to approve the sales order and execute the order line activities.
  6. Select the first order line on the Order Lines tab and click References > Status. The Sales Order Line Status (tdsls4534s000) session is displayed.
  7. Review the order line activities and verify that the sales order is automatically released to Warehousing.
  8. Select References > View > Lines Monitor in the Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session. The Sales Order Lines Monitor (tdsls4510m000) session is displayed.
  9. Select your sales order line and click Open Object. The Outbound Line Status Overview (whinh2129m000) session is displayed.
    Note: Verify that all the outbound activities are automatically executed other than the shipment.
  10. Click Actions > Freeze/Confirm. The Shipment Lines (whinh4131m000) session is displayed.
  11. Select the shipment line and click Confirm. Verify that the Status is updated to Confirmed on the Status tab.
  12. Verify that the Freeze/Confirm Shipments/Loads activity is executed in the Outbound Line Status Overview (whinh2129m000) session.
  13. Verify that the sales order is automatically released to Invoicing in the Sales Order Line Status (tdsls4534s000) session.
