Creating a sales order

To create a sales order:

  1. Access the Sales Order Intake Workbench (tdsls4601m200) session and click New. The Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session is displayed.
  2. Select the foreign business partner in the Business Partner field and press Tab.
    Note: Infor LN populates the data related to the selected business partner.
  3. Select S08 Sales Order Automatic in the Order Type field.
  4. Select the manufactured item to be exported in the Item field on the Order Lines tab and specify the quantity and price in the Ordered Quantity and the Price fields respectively.
  5. Create another order line related to expenses (cost, freight, and so on).
  6. Click Approve to approve the sales order and execute the order line activities.
  7. Select the first order line on the Order Lines tab and click References > Status. The Sales Order Line Status (tdsls4534s000) session is displayed.
  8. Review the order line activities and verify that the sales order is automatically released to Warehousing.
  9. Select the second order line for the expense item on the Order Lines tab and click References > Status. The Sales Order Line Status (tdsls4534s000) session is displayed.
  10. Review the order line activities and verify that the sales order is automatically released to Warehousing and Invoicing.
  11. Select References > View > Lines Monitor in the Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session. The Sales Order Lines Monitor (tdsls4510m000) session is displayed.
  12. Select the sales order line and click Open Object. The Outbound Line Status Overview (whinh2129m000) session is displayed.
    Note: Verify that all the outbound activities are automatically executed other than the shipment.
  13. Click Actions > Freeze/Confirm. The Shipment Lines (whinh4131m000) session is displayed.
  14. Select the shipment line and click Confirm. Verify that the Status is updated to Confirmed on the Status tab.
