Introduction

In project manufacturing environments, to arrive at the cost of finished products in projects, project pegging is implemented, and the items are linked to the project. If an item with project pegging control is specified in a demand order, the pegging information is used to allocate, track, register, and provide stock.

The pegging information is linked to items and stock transactions when the goods are ordered, received, issued, or consumed. Conseqently the costs can be controlled at the project level, activity level, or the element level.

Traceability distribution information is available for purchase orders, warehouse and shop floor to track the cost account of the project where the goods are ordered.

Costing Breaks are used to split and redirect project-related costs that can be linked to specific attributes such as items, item groups, or work centers. Project costs are distributed at a lower level for the specified attributes (breaks), which improves project management.
