Reversal Credit Note Generation

To balance the return purchase order, a credit note must be created.

  1. Click New on the Transaction Types tab in the Transactions (tfgld1101m000) session and select APC in the Transaction Type field (with a Transaction Category of Purchase Credit Notes and Transaction Subcategory of Credit Note).
  2. Click Go to Details for the APC transaction type. The Purchase Invoice Entry (tfacp2600m000) session is displayed.
  3. Verify that Invoice Related to Purchase Orders is selected in the Invoice Type field.
  4. Select the return purchase order in the Order field of the Order section and press Tab. The order related data is populated in the other fields of the invoice header.
    Note: The order amount does not include the localized taxes.
  5. Update the invoice amount manually in the Amount field of the Amounts section including the localized taxes.
  6. Select Actions > Matching > Match Order to match the purchase order with the invoice. The Match Purchase Order Lines (tfacp2541m000) session is displayed.
  7. Select the order line of the return purchase order and click Match Selected Orders.
  8. Verify that Invoice Status is updated to Matched and the Amount Unassigned is 0.00.
  9. Add the localized taxes amount on the Additional Costs tab in the Purchase Invoice Entry (tfacp2600m000) session and verify that.
  10. Click Approve to approve the purchase credit note.
    Note: If the accounts receivable document is not settled in Financials, the document must be linked to the credit note generated by the return process.
  11. Click New on the Transaction Types tab in the Transactions (tfgld1101m000) session and select APA in the Transaction Type field (with a Transaction Category of Purchase Corrections and Transaction Subcategory of Assign Credit Note).
  12. Click Go to Details for the APA transaction type. The Assign Credit Notes to Invoices – Search window is displayed.
  13. Specify the business partner in the Business Partner field, select APC in the Transaction Type field, select the credit note in the Document field and click OK. The Assign Credit Notes to Invoices (tfacp2120m000) session is displayed with the list of credit notes generated for the selected business partner.
  14. Select the credit note and click Actions > Select Credit Note Schedules for Assignment. The Select Credit Note Schedules for Assignment (tfacp2125m000) session is displayed.
  15. Select the schedule for the credit note and click Actions > Link Credit Note Schedules to Invoice Schedules. The Link Credit Note Schedules to Invoice Schedules (tfacp2127m000) session is displayed.
  16. Specify the amount to be linked in the Linked Amount in Invoice Currency field and click Assign. The Document Numbers (tfcmg2114s000) session is displayed.
  17. Specify the series for the document in the Document Series field and click OK. The document is created and the assignment is added to the invoice.
  18. Select the APA transaction type line on the Transaction Types tab in the Transactions (tfgld1101m000) session and click Finalize. The batch is finalized and review the generated journal reports.
  19. Access the Accounts Payable 360 (tfacp2560m000) session and select the business partner. The business partner related data is enabled in the header section.
  20. Click Invoices by Payment-related Documents in the Payments section. The Invoices/Documents by Payment-related Documents (tfacp6501m000) session is displayed.
  21. Verify that the Due Amount is 0.00. This indicates that the balance is finalized.
