Creating a sales order

To create a sales order, execute these steps:

  1. Access the Sales Order Intake Workbench (tdsls4601m200) session and click New. The Sales Order (tdsls4100m900) session is displayed.
  2. Select the business partner in the Business Partner field of the Sold-to BP section and press Tab.
    Note: Infor LN populates the default data for the selected business partner in the other fields of the sales order header.
  3. Select the order type of third-party owned (TNP) in the Order Type field, sales office in the Sales Office field, and the order series in the Order field of the Control section.
  4. Click New on the Order Lines tab, select the main item (manufactured) in the second segment of the Item field, and specify the quantity of the item in the Ordered Quantity field.
    Note: The default price of the item is updated in the Price field.
  5. Click Go to Details for the sales order line on the Order Lines tab. The Sales Order Lines (tdsls4101m000) session is displayed.
  6. Select the Contains Customer Furnished Material check box in the Item section on the Item tab and click Save changes and exit.
  7. Click Approve in the Sales Order (tdpur4100m900) session to approve the sales order.
  8. Select Actions > Generate > Generate Production Orders to generate the production order. The Generate Production Orders (tdsls4243m000) session is displayed.
  9. Review the data and click Generate. The Generate Production Order for Sales Order report is generated with the production order in the Production Order field.
  10. Click Close in the Generate Production Orders (tdsls4243m000) session.
