Personalize Toolbar Detail (ttadv9221m000)

Use this session to personalize the toolbar of a session that runs in Infor Ming.le.

This session runs in a panel in the Personalize Toolbar (ttadv9220m100) session.

You can perform these actions:

  • Hide or unhide commands.
  • Change the order of commands.
  • Link icons to non-standard commands, which are displayed on the Actions menu, the View menu, and other menus. The icons are displayed on the toolbar.
  • Add extra space between toolbar buttons.

The session consists of these panes:

  • Visible Commands

    Displays the structure of the toolbar commands and menus as they are displayed in the session.

  • Hidden Commands

    Displays the form commands, and any corresponding icons, that can be made visible on the toolbar.

  • Properties

    Displays the properties of the command that you selected in the Visible Commands pane or in the Hidden Commands pane.

    For non-standard commands, the Icon field displays the corresponding default icon, if present. You can drag another icon to the Icon field.

    From ES 10.4.1.1 on, you can add a non-standard command as an icon or as a text button to the toolbar. On the Properties panel you can choose whether the non-standard command is shown as an icon or as text. The text to be used on the toolbar is adjustable.

    For standard commands, no icon is displayed in the Properties pane. You cannot change the icon of a standard command.

Actions

This table shows the actions that you can perform:

Action Description
Hide commands

To hide a command:

  1. Select the command in the Visible Commands pane.
  2. On the pane's toolbar, click the right arrow button.
Unhide commands

To unhide a command:

  1. Select the command in the Hidden Commands pane.
  2. Ensure the command has an icon attached, otherwise link one. See "Link icons to non-standard commands" in this table.
  3. On the pane's toolbar, click the left arrow button.
Change the order of commands In the Visible Commands pane, drag the command to the desired position. Alternatively, use the up and down arrow buttons on the pane's toolbar or drag the buttons directly in the toolbar of the session.
Remove toolbar personalizations To remove all your Toolbar Personalizations for the current session, select Remove Toolbar Personalizations from the Actions menu.
Add extra space between toolbar buttons

To add extra space between toolbar buttons, add a separator between the corresponding tree items in the Visible Commands pane.

To add a separator, select a tree item and, from the Actions menu, select Add Separator. The separator is added below the selected item.

To remove a separator:

  1. Select the separator in the Visible Commands pane.
  2. On the pane's toolbar, click the right arrow button.

Link icons to non-standard commands on the Actions menu, the View menu, and other menus

To link an icon to a non-standard command, which has no icon attached:

  1. Select the command in the Hidden Commands pane.

    The properties of the command are displayed in the Properties pane.

  2. Drag an image, for example from a Windows folder, to the Icon field in the Properties pane. You can also use browse to select an image from a folder.

    The icon is displayed before the form command description in the Hidden Commands pane.

  3. To make the command and its icon visible:
    1. Select the command in the Hidden Commands pane.
    2. On the pane's toolbar, click the left arrow button.

To link a different icon to a command that has an icon attached:

  1. Select the command in the Visible Commands pane or in the Hidden Commands pane.
  2. Drag the desired image to the Icon field in the Properties pane or click browse to select an image from disk.
