Table Sharing Parameters (tltsm0100m000)

Use this session to maintain the parameters that influence the operation of the Table Sharing Modeler (TSM) module.

This session contains:

  • A history list of parameter sets and their effective dates
  • The current parameter set, at the top of the list (without an effective date)

The current parameter set appears on top of the list and has no effective date. To view or change the current parameter set, double-click it.

To view one of the historical parameter settings, double-click that parameter set.

If you make the required changes and save the updated parameter set, LN performs the following actions:

  1. Adds the new set to the history list
  2. Updates the current set (at the top of the list).

The current set contains the same parameter values as the parameter set last added to the history list.

Note: By default, the Description field contains the date and time when the previous parameter set was saved. In order to avoid confusion, if you change the parameters, change or delete the description as well.
Note: The tables of the Table Sharing Modeler module are always present in company 000, (just like all other modules of the Tools and Table Sharing Modeler packages).

If the tables of the Table Sharing Modeler are not yet created, LN creates these tables when you run this session.

Effective Date

The date and time when the parameter setting came into effect.

Description

The description of the parameter set.

Options
Fast Verification

If this check box is selected, and you select the Verify command in the Table Sets (tltsm1100m000) session or in the Table Sharing Sets (tltsm1115m000) session, LN automatically starts the Table Sharing Exceptions (tltsm2100m000) session after the verification process, to display the results of the verification process.

If this check box is cleared, you can still start the Table Sharing Exceptions (tltsm2100m000) session manually.

Allow changes in Actual Table Set Data

If this check box is selected, you can modify the data in the table sharing set that is shown in the Table Sharing Set field.

If this check box is cleared, you cannot modify the actual table sharing set and its related table sets. To make changes, you must first copy the table sharing set to a new sharing set and then copy the related table sets that must be changed.

Note: It is recommended to clear this check box. In that way, you keep the history of the actual table sharing sets. The copies of older table sets and table sharing sets can help you to restore a previous configuration, if required.
Length of Version Segment in Table [Sharing] Set

The number of digits of the version segment in the table set code and the table sharing set code.

If you set this field to zero, no automatic versioning will be applied.

If you enter a number greater than zero, the table-set codes are split into two segments:

  • The first segment of the codes can be freely chosen when you create a new table set.
  • The second segment is the version number that is chosen automatically.

If you create a new table set by copying an existing table set, LN increments the version number by one. LN treats table sharing sets in the same way.
