Integration updates

Infor Automotive Exchange

The requirement of car manufacturers in the automotive industry to receive EDI Transport Order documents from their suppliers is now supported.

EDI Transport Order documents are sent from the supplier to the customer or carrier prior to shipment, to confirm that the agreed goods are ready for shipment.

Publication of an EDI Transport Order is triggered from a load in LN CE. As a precondition, handling units must be created for all shipments that belong to a specific load.

In Automotive Exchange, the corresponding BODs are received and the required EDI format is created, for example EDIFACT DESADV, which is used by BMW, Daimler, and Volkswagen.

Infor Factory Track

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is a key technology to handle the digitization of the material flow in an efficient and reliable manner. Because more and more car manufacturers introduce RFID technology to increase transparency and to automate material movements, automotive suppliers are requested to support various RFID-based business processes.

Consequently, RFID has now been added to the shipment process. In CloudSuite Automotive, the single-use and the multi-use processes are supported.

Single-use RFID

For each handling unit that is used for shipping, a barcode label is printed by the automotive supplier. A formatted number is created in LN CE and stored as an asset tag number of the handling unit. During printing of the label, this number is written to the embedded RFID tag. An RFID barcode label printer is used for this.

To simplify the goods receipt process for the customer, the asset tag number is also sent to the customer in the Advance Shipping Notice (ASN).

Multi-use RFID

Each empty handling unit that is sent from the customer to the automotive supplier has an RFID tag with a unique number. The automotive supplier must specify and return the handling unit.

During a Factory Track transaction in the shipment process, the RFID number is scanned by using an RFID scanner. The RFID number is stored as an asset tag of the handling unit.

To simplify the goods receipt process for the customer, the asset tag number is sent to the customer in the Advance Shipping Notice (ASN).

Infor PLM Discrete

A hybrid integration is now supported between Infor LN CE multi-tenant and Infor PLM Discrete on premises.

The integration supports the processes of specifying and modifying items and bills of material (BOMs).

These functions are not supported in the hybrid integration:

  • Comparison of product structure for PLM and LN CE
  • Impact analysis

Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

Infor LN CE can now be integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, which is used by sales representatives to track leads, opportunities, accounts, and contacts.

The integration offers these capabilities:

  • Synchronization of CRM accounts and contacts to business partners and contacts in LN CE.
  • Synchronization of LN item master data to CRM.
  • Creation of a sales order in CRM based on the products from LN CE.
  • Validation of pricing using web services.
  • Creation of a sales order in LN CE after the CRM order is set to Submitted. A one-way integration is used.

Salesforce CRM

Infor LN CE can now be integrated with Salesforce CRM, which is used by sales representatives to track leads, opportunities, accounts, and contacts.

The integration offers these capabilities:

  • Synchronization of CRM accounts and contacts to business partners and contacts in LN CE.
  • Synchronization of LN item master data to CRM.
  • Creation of a quote in CRM based on the products from LN CE.
  • Validation of pricing using web services.
  • Creation of a sales quote in LN CE after the CRM quote is sent. A one-way integration is used.
