Application personalization

Enrichment of the Manage Personalizations session and personalization storage alignment (EDP)

These improvements related to user experience settings have been made:

  • Improved management of all user experience settings, such as personalizations for menus, reports, and sessions, including conditional formats and filters.

Project teams can now simultaneously work on personalizations in different parts of the system and bring that all together in a single role or company.

After combining the user experience settings, for example within the development, or test, environment, you can transfer the settings to an acceptation environment for approval. When all changes have been approved, you can transfer the settings to the production environment within the organization.

  • Storage alignment of the user experience settings

This improvement provides a more aligned way of working with all other user experience settings. You can now copy conditional formats and filters to a personalization role, in addition to storage against user, and company, level.

  • Session personalization maintenance add-in directly from within the session

Improved options are provided for maintenance of session personalizations on user, role, or company level directly from within the functional session.

There is a subsequent benefit during the creation of a functional improvement in the LN application in its development phase. That is, you can now also use updates in user experience settings as part of the overall solution.

To achieve this, use the personalization role as a vehicle to transfer all changes in user experience settings, including the personalization role itself.

This way you can export and import the solution, including the user experience settings, during the acceptation, or implementation, phase.

Import and export personalizations - job-enabled

In the Export Personalizations (ttaad7201m000) and Import Personalizations (ttaad7202m000) sessions, the Add to Job menu option has been made available.

Note: For a job that is related to the Export Personalizations (ttaad7201m000) session, existing output files may be overwritten. The existing files are overwritten if the job is run again before the target file has been moved or deleted.
