Integration updates

Infor Automotive Exchange

Instead of a single-tenant application, Infor Automotive Exchange is now a multi-tenant application.

Consequently, a multi-tenant integration is now available between LN CE and Automotive Exchange, and Automotive Exchange is included as a multi-tenant application in CloudSuite Automotive. These changes streamline efficiency for customers, consultants, and Infor and deliver a better customer experience.

The multi-tenant version of Automotive Exchange supports these advanced capabilities:

DMA architecture
Infor’s Docker Microservice Architecture (DMA) provides a solid, modern, and proven framework that ensures high-availability, scalability and reliability of the Automotive Exchange services. It features a unified user experience and uses the latest building blocks from Infor Design Studio (IDS). It simplifies user administration by taking full advantage of Infor Ming.le and Infor Federation Services to set up users.
Communication service
For external communications with trading partners, customers have these options:
  • Use a Communication Service Provider. This service provides certified multi-tenant connections to Communication Service Providers for faster and simpler implementations.
  • Use an on-premise communications client. If customers prefer to self-manage their communication connections, this client provides all the capabilities to establish, monitor, and manage communications, but without the assistance of the Infor Cloud team.
On-premise print client
An on-premise print client is used for bar code and form printing. The print client uses ION APIs for secure connectivity and eliminates the need for VPN tunnels to access printers.
Extensibility for custom trading partners
Customers can easily specify new custom trading partners and manage their content. They can use new self-service capabilities, such as downloading standard EDI maps and print templates, and uploading custom EDI maps and print templates.
Alert management
Alert management has been centralized so that customers set up alerts from one administration screen. Pulse Alert BODs have been replaced with IMS messages for greater efficiency.
Migration services
To take full advantage of the multi-tenant release and its features, customers must contact their CSM to schedule their migration. The White Glove team will assist with the migration.
Infor will migrate all single-tenant customers to the multi-tenant version by end of 2021.

Infor d/EPM

In the existing integration between LN CE and Infor d/EPM, LN data is provided to a powerful budgeting and planning application with standard and extensive workbooks, workflow, and decision packages for making business decisions and tracking their impact on financial results. As the basis for determining budgets for a subsequent planning cycle, actuals can flow from LN CE through the Data Lake to Infor d/EPM.

Now, approved budget data from Infor d/EPM can be sent to the financial budgeting module in LN CE through the SourceSystemGL BOD. Consequently, LN CE users can now analyze the monthly actuals against the budgets by using the standard LN CE reports.
