Usability improvements

Navigation menu skin option in the user profile

The Navigation Menu Skin setting on the user profile Preferences tab has been extended. In previous versions, the only options provided were light or dark. Now, users can select from a list of nine color options. These options change the color of the main navigation menu and the other navigation areas in the user interface, such as the session navigation tabs.

These colors are available:

  • White -corresponds to the previous 'light' option
  • Graphite - corresponds to the previous 'dark' option
  • Amber
  • Amethyst
  • Azure
  • Emerald
  • Ruby
  • Slate
  • Turquoise

Custom skin for navigation menu

You can now use the Custom Skin Editor (uigwt0108m000) session to choose a custom color for the navigation area and the session tab header.

Users can select these custom colors in the User Profile Details (uigwt0102s000) session. On the Preferences tab, they can change the selection of the Navigation Menu Skin field to Custom.

Generate accessible (tagged) PDFs

PDFs that are generated by LN now contain the correct meta-tags to make them accessible by screen readers. Because of the way PDFs are generated, they can only be read 'row-by-row'. Consequently, some of the information conveyed by the layout of the fields may be lost in the process.

Note: In an Infor LN on-premises environment, Enterprise Server 10.8 or later is required.

Show system message once per day

From now on, the LN system message is automatically displayed to users only once per day. The server stores the last time the system message was displayed. If this was on the current day, then the system message is not automatically displayed again. If the system message is updated, then the timer on the server resets, so the new message is displayed again. Users can always access the current system message through the Options menu.

Note: In an Infor LN on-premises environment, Enterprise Server 10.8 or later is required.
