Field Relations (Export) (daxch0132s000)

Use this session to create relations between ASCII Field fields and LN table fields per batch in an exchange scheme.

To create field relations, do as follows:

  1. Enter a serial number and the name of the ASCII Field field.
  2. Define under Based on how the ASCII Field field receives its value and select the appropriate LN table field, condition or constant. Enter the element number of an array field, if the LN field is defined as an array field in the data dictionary.
  3. Click Edit Text to create additional text for the field relation.
Note: The relation on table level is created in the Table Relations (Export) (daxch0531m000) session.
Exchange Scheme

The exchange scheme code.

The exchange scheme is created in the Exchange Schemes (daxch0501m000) session.

Batch

The batch code in an exchange scheme.

A batch is created in the Batches (daxch0104m000) session.

Exp. Table Rel.

A sequential number that identifies the table relation. It makes the table relation unique in the batch.

Table

The code of the table in LN that contains the data that will be exported into an ASCII file during an export.

The LN table is specified in the Table Relations (Export) (daxch0531m000) session.

ASCII File

The code of the ASCII file that contains data from the LN table during an export procedure.

To copy fields of an ASCII file table automatically the ASCII file code must be the same as the code of the LN table. This is an option if you do not have a data definition file of the ASCII file.

Note: The ASCII file code represents the logical ASCII file and it is created in the ASCII Files (daxch0102m000) session.

Serial No.

Enter a serial number to make the field relation unique in the table relation. The serial number is only used as an identifier and does not have to be sequential.

Note:

The number is increased automatically: when you define a new field relation, LN enters a number of value ten greater than the field relation with the highest value.

Because numbers such as 10, 20, 30, and so on are used, it is more convenient to insert field relations at a later stage.

Field Rel. Text

If this check box is selected, additional information is added to the field relation. The text is maintained in the text editor.

Click Text to start the text editor.

ASCII Field

Enter the code of the ASCII file field that will contain data that is to be transferred from a field in the LN table during an export procedure.

Note: The ASCII file code represents the logical ASCII file. It is created in the ASCII Files (daxch0102m000) session.
Table Field

If this check box is selected, the data transfer is based on the data in a LN field.

Note: Select the LN field in the next field.
Table Field

To export data into an ASCII file field, specify the code of the field in a LN table.

Array Element

The element number of an array field. This field is only applicable if the Table Field field is defined as an array field in the data dictionary.

The elements in an array can be filled individually.

Note: The element number cannot exceed the array depth.
Condition

If this check box is selected, the export process can be manipulated by using conditions.

Note: The conditions are created in the Conditions (daxch0114m000) session.

Condition

Enter the condition that is used in the transfer of data from the ASCII file field to the LN table field.

The return value of the condition will be used to fill the LN table field.

Note: Condition are defined in the Conditions (daxch0114m000) session.

Constant

If this check box is selected, a constant value is loaded into the LN table field.

Fixed Value

Enter the value that will be assigned to the LN table field during export.

Note: A constant can only be used if the LN table field is left blank and no condition is used.
