Module relationships across packages

Many modules have an impact on the inventory level of items.

The following packages and modules generate planned inventory transactions in the Inventory Planning module, and warehousing orders in the Warehouse Orders module:

  • Job Shop Control

Production orders generate planned inventory transactions and warehousing orders. Issues (components) and receipts (end products) are reported back to the production orders.
  • Sales Control

Sales orders generate planned inventory transactions and warehousing orders. Issues and receipts (return orders) from the warehouse are reported back to sales orders.
  • Purchase Control

Purchase orders generate planned inventory transactions and warehousing orders. Issues and receipts (return orders) from the warehouse are reported back to purchase orders.
  • Service Order Control

Service orders generate planned inventory transactions and warehousing orders. Issues and receipts are reported back to the service orders.

Electronic Data Interchange and Quality directly influence warehousing orders and procedures:

  • Electronic Data Interchange

Incoming and outgoing EDI transactions can generate warehouse orders of type Issue or Receipt.
  • Quality

Incoming and outgoing goods can be approved based on Quality.
